The competitions of Rakdh Al Ardha for camels was concluded under the auspices of Sheikh Seif bin Hemyar AL Shahhi , Governor of Al Dhahirah in presence of a number of Walis from South Al Batinah Governoate and members of Majlis A’ Shura and the municipal councils. The competition is part of the 17th annual festival for camel races organized by the Royal Court Affairs. The competition witnessed wide participation by fans of this true heritage. The competition included some Bedouin art performances by camel owners.
Tourists also attended the competition to take photos with camels and camel riders from different ages.The event included a performance for the Ardha camels from the Royal Camels, ROP camels and local camels from the different Wilayat. The event also included Hamble art performance on camel backs, poems and music.
The Wilayat of Al Khaborah came first followed by Saham , Sohar ,AL Mesana and Ibri. The chief guest honored the top five winners and the committees of the race.

Camel Race in Ibrai Concluded The Race was sponsored by Occidental.The Oman Camel Race Federation organized a race for genuine Arab camels at Rafash racetrack in the neyabat of Hamraa Al Dorou in the Wilayat of Ibri. The race was sponsored by Sheikh Hamad bin Sultan Al Busaidi,Deputy Wali of Ibri in the neyabt of Hamraa Al Doroua in the presence of Hamad bin Ali Al Saadi , CEO at the Omani Camel Race Federation as well as sheikhs and dignitaries of the Wilayat of Ibri as well as came race fans and public.The race , which was full of competition and enthusaim, was suppored by Occidental Oman Inc. The race included seven rounds of which five rounds for Hajaij Abkar and
Jaadan for four kilometers, two rounds for Laqaya for 3km.At the first round for laqaya for three km, Shaala owned by said bin Hamad Al DDarie came first , Reema owned by Hamdan bin Sulaiman Al Darie came second, Al Dariyah owned by Ali bin Mohammed Al Darie came third.At the second round for Laqaya for three km, Hamloul owned by Abdullah bin Said Al Darie came first, Matfi owned by Nasser Maayouf Al Darie came third,Daghas owned by Mohammed bin Said Al Darie came third,Shaheen owned by Said bin Humaid Al Darie came third.At the third round for Hajayig for 4 km, Jahloda owned by Matar bin Hamad Al darie came first , Shouda owned by Hamdan Al Darie came second, Qarmoshah owned by Hamad bin Humaid Al Darie came third.At the fourth round for Hajayig for four km, Hamloul owned by Adel Mohammed Al Balushi came first, Al Ghazal Hamdan owned by Hamdan Ali Al Darie came second and Shaheen owned by Salem Rashid Al Qutbi came third.At the fifth round for Hajayig for four km, Shawaheen owned by Nasser bin Mohammed Al Darie came first,Muthirah owned by Nasser Maayouf Al Darie came second, Tarab owned by Said bin Ali Al Darie came third.At the sixth round for Hajayig for four km, Al Dheeba owned by Hamad bin Humaid AL Darie came first , Rahya owned by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Darie came second and Awaid owned by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Darie came third.At the seventh round for Hajayeg for four km, Al Wash owned by Nasser bin Maayouf Al Darie came first, Al Mukhtabar owned by Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Darie came third.Honoring winners At the end, sheikh Hamad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Wali of Ibri in the neyabt of Hamraa Al Doroua distribute five vehicles, Khanjars and financial awards onto top winners of each round.
