Delegated by HM the Sultan, His Excellency Nasr bin Hamoud Al-Kindi,Secretary General of Royal Court Affairs for Sohar Track, patronized the final race of the annual camel race organized by Oman Camel Racing Federation and attended by a number of their Excellencies, camel owners and camel trainers in Oman.The closing day of the camel race witnessed four rounds; their results came as follows:
The first round allocated for “Al-Thanaya” camels. Al-Shaheenia, owned by the Royal Camel Corps, trained by Sultan bin Hamoud Al-Jahafi, won the first place.Masirah, owned by Al-Bashaer, trained by Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Junaibi, won the second place. Khairah, owned by AlBashaer, trained by Jassim bin Qabili AlMuharbi, won the third place.The second round, allocated for “AlThanaya”, Mayasa, owned by Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Wahibi came first.Hamloula,owned by Mohammad bin Saeed bin Saleh Al-Zaraei, came second while Al-Shaybah, owned by Abdullah bin Hamad Twirish Al-Wahaibi, came in the third place.The third round, allocated to “Al Houl”,
Mansoura, owned by the Royal Camel Corps and trained by Rashid bin Salem Al Ghailani came first. Muzoon, owned by Al-Bashaer and trained by Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Junaibi, won the second place. Al-Naifah, owned by the Royal Camel Corps and trained by Amer bin Rashid Al-Omari, came third.The fourth round, allocated to “AlHoul”, Barzman, owned by Hamad bin Mohammad Al-Wahibi, came first. Dalma, owned by Hamad bin Muhammad bin Salem Al-Wahaibi, came second while Hudou, owned by Mohsen bin Ali bin Muhammad Al-Wahaibi, came third.
At the end of the race, the chief guest handed over the prizes to the winners of the first places, in addition to honoring the governmental and private institutions supporting the race.
